Utah TRIP------Part II

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch with my mom, sisters, and kids. I love enjoying the fun of the Halloween holiday.

My little Pumpkin. All dressed up for the occasion in orange.
The cousins

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!!

The Corn Maze

I went in with some of my nieces and nephews. They scattered every which way and left Max and I by ourselves. LOST!
I was pushing this little umbrella stroller through the rough terrain. I just wanted to get out of the stupid thing! LOL! I think I like Corn Mazes a lot more when there haunted. It makes it more fun.

Which way Max? I think the scarecrow is pointing the way. Get us out of here!

6 month check-up

My baby is a little over 6 months old and I can't believe it! He's 30 inches long (still over the 95%) and weighs 19lbs 14oz. (80%)
Because Max is so tall. Everyone we meet thinks he's older. I LOVE my TALL boy! I love everything about him.
Max and I got a little bug when we were in Utah. We thought we were rid of it. Then yesterday at his check-up. He had a ear infection in the left ear. The doctor said it wasn't too bad. He still gave us some antibiotic because Max is only 6 months old. My poor baby!
He also got 5 pokes yesterday! He got his regular vaccines. Then he also got the flu shot AND the swine flu shot. Tough day for my little guy. After the initial shots. He was fine the rest of the day.
On a side note. The day before Max's appointment the doctors office called to confirm the appointment. I cannot even tell you the feeling I get when the lady at the doctors office calls and says, "Is this Maxwell's mom?" It brings such joy to my heart to say "YES."
Maybe it wont be quite as fun if it comes from, Lets say, the police station, The principle office, or a neighbor calling to tell me what trouble Max has gotten himself into. Even then, I think my heart will always swell to say, "Yes, This is Maxwell's mom." Then I can be a mom and ground him for being naughty.;) Because if a kid never got in trouble. What kind of a boring childhood would that be?

A new sound in the house

I have a dish washer!!! Well, I've HAD a dish washer for sometime. We just didn't know how to set it up! Or the time to do it.
Enter my great neighbors!!! I thought now would be a good time to give a thank you to all the wonderful neighbors and friends we have.
Shaun and I bought a house which needed a lot of TLC. We've found that we have the best and most helpful neighbors and friends! Through all the remodeling we've done. They have helped us in so many ways!
Thank you Rich Porter for my new dish washer set-up! I love the new sound of the dishes being washed. (not by me!!) I'm so spoiled now.

Thank you Tracy Brunson and Rich for all the help and advice!

Thank you Travis Richins!! Who is our master electrician! He's always so willing to help us! He's done so many wonderful things for us! He's amazing!

Shaun and I have also found that if we've forgotten to take the trash bin out to be picked up. Some how it still makes it out to the sidewalk:)

Thanks to my sister and family who surprised us by doing a ton of work on our house while we were gone on vacation.

Thanks to so many wonderful family and friends. We can now call our home.... a home. Of course, There are always never ending projects we would like to do. Our house has gone through a great transformation.

UTAH TRIP-------PART I

A beautiful drive up Payson Canyon. I love the fall in Utah. The colors were so bright and vibrant. In some places they looked neon. I'm so glad I got to see the changing of the leaves at such a perfect time. These photos don't due it justice.
BEA....UT...I...FUL!!

Once upon a style

I've lost my style! It's not in my closet or my shoe rack. I try to find it at the stores and find that things are a lot cuter on a manikin then on me.

I hardly ever wear cute jewelry anymore. Max likes to yank and pull them too much. They also tend to be a bother when I snuggle him close. They get in the way too much.

I want to be comfortable most of the time. comfortable usually equals frumpy. That's what I've become.

I've gone outside in things and looking a mess a lot. I would have never been seen like this before. In my past life.

I need comfort with a splash of some sort of style. HELP! I've got to go shopping! I need a whole new wardrobe. I wear the same old boring thing everyday.

Whats your love language?

When I was Utah my mom had the five love language book. Shaun and I have been wanting to get the book. We've heard so much about it. We wanted to find out what our love language was.
Shaun was not with me in Utah. So I took the test myself. Then I would just go out and buy the book.
The 5 love languages are:
Words of affirmation, Quality Time, Gifts, Service, and Physical Touch. They also have the 5 love languages for kids and teenagers. I think it's really interesting.
So are you ready for my love language? The most you can get in any love language is 12. Some people have 2 love languages. If your top scores are so close together. I do have 2 love languages.
Of course, All of the 5 love languages are good. You just respond to some more then others.
My love language is, Physical Touch and Words of Affirmation. I scored a 9 on Physical Touch and an 8 on Words of affirmation.
Now I need Shaun to take the test and then read the book. Then we can better our love language. It's really fun to do.
Now that you know my love language. I just want you to know that my love language is for Shaun only! I don't want any of you coming up to me telling me how great I am while rubbing my back. ;)
