Summer time = Popsicle time

 And....

Popsicles = Happy Kids

Happy Kids = Happy Mom

But sometimes.....
popsicle's = messy, sticky kids = not so happy Mom. ;)

I love popsicle's in the Summer.

Boys Club

So, this is my first post for my new "Boys Club" posts, that I want to start doing. I thought I would start with this one as I put Max to sleep last night and instead of wanting something soft like a stuffed Teddy Bear to sleep with, Max wanted his plastic toy Shark and Killer Whale.
He's been sleeping with them for about a week. It makes me laugh and is SO Max. He's really into sea animals right now, especially, Sharks and Whales. He wants to watch our Discovery Blue Planet DVD'S all the time. He cracks me up!
So, to be in this Boys Club, you've got to be willing to sleep with Killer whales and Sharks. ;)

Happy Father's Day

We're big FANS of Father's Day around here. We've got a GREAT dad! Max and Easton are two LUCKY boys!

We made a book for Shaun that I downloaded from Pinterest. It has some questions and Max didn't disappoint with his answers. Here's the questions and Max's answers......

My Dad's name is?    DAD

How old is Dad?    THREE (This may have something to do with the fact that Max is three)

What color is Dad's hair?   YELLOW (This may have to do with the fact that I was pointing to my hair when I asked the question)

For work, He?     SMASHES FLIES  (Haha! kids are so funny!)

What does Dad like to do?    SWIMMING AND SMASHING FLIES.  (haha! the flies again)

Dad likes to watch?   BABY NOAH (this is a favorite of Max's)

Is Dad funny?   YES

It makes me happy when He?    TAKES ME SWIMMING, WATCHES BABY NOAH AND SHARKS

I love Dad because......

1. He smashes flies  (haha! he must really like when Shaun smashes flies)

2. Takes me swimming

3. watches Baby Noah

4. He's Nice

5. He's Fun

6. He plays Trucks

Now, I can't wait to see what Easton's answer's will be when he gets older. We love our DADDY!!

I'm also THANKFUL for my AMAZING Father! Who has now become the best Grandpa ever! Love you DAD!!

THREE months? WHAT!?

That's right, It's been THREE months since my last post. I'm annoyed that I've been slacking on my blog. I've got TONS of things to blog about and can't seem to get it done! I've been working on other projects and busy with my little darlings (most of the time darlings. ;)
I need to come up with a better system for blogging. I need to bring back my, "phrase of the week." and I'm also going to start a "boys club" post. That will help me write things about the boys and things I'm learning about boys, anything that has to do with raising boys ext....
Because I'm SUPER backed up on posts. My blog may get pretty random for a while as I try to catch up on some things. So we may get Easter in July, the boys APRIL birthdays in September, things like that, who knows.
I just want to keep some record of our lives, for us and the boys.
I love you Max and Easton! I love being your Mom and want to always remember these special times with you. It will be a treasure for me to look back on.
I really look at you, I mean REALLY look at you, and want to etch you in my brain at every stage of your lives. I don't want to forget the special moments or even the everyday moments that are and become so precious to me.

All in a days PLAY

Here's some of the things Easton's been doing.

Crawling

Standing up

Playing with brother Max. Which lately, ends in Easton getting pushed, kicked, or tackled.
Easton's becoming scrappy though and keeps coming back for more. He also makes sure to milk it when moms around, to make sure I have sympathy for him being picked on by big mean brother. ;)

Playing in the pantry

Playing in the refrigerator

Playing with Boston, good thing Boston is the best dog with these boys! He takes a beating and never growls, bites, or snips. He's an AWESOME dog!

Playing in the Dishwasher

Playing outside

Loves to put everything in his mouth. Also, loves to play with balls.

Accessorising

Make Mom laugh with funny faces

Be Happy

Get messy, take a bath, eat, go to sleep.

It's good to PLAY!

Mommy loves you Easton!! I'm glad I get to PLAY with you too!

No more curls

Max's hair started to curl, I love and adore it. He has curly hair when it grows out long. Unfortunately, he needed a hair cut. Max HATES haircuts, I repeat, HATE! So we usually let it grow out and get pretty crazy and then we buzz it all off, then repeat. I was SO sad to see his curly hair go.
before

Love this!

The above picture is one of Max's CRAZY, completely untamed hair days. haha!

AFTER

He's stinking cute BOTH ways!
The only problem with his short hair is, I think he looks SO much older!
How did my baby Max get so big?! Well, he's always been big, but I mean bigger! ;)

Just SOME of the things I've been doing

Hanging up some of my favorite pictures

I love this picture of Shaun and me. I think it says a lot about us and that we have a fun relationship. I had to put the word LOVE next to this picture.
We really do LOVE each other (most of the time) hee..hee.

I adore this picture of Max. It captures him in a pure state of EXUBERANCE.
He was jumping in a bounce house and the youthful joy on his face shows through beautifully.
To see and capture Max truly enjoying life, is priceless to me.
Max is EXUBERANCE.

Awe.......precious, sweet, baby boy. This is HAPPINESS. I get to feel and see this kind of HAPPINESS everyday from Easton. He certainly brings me HAPPINESS. I will always remember Easton and the HAPPINESS that exudes from this sweet boy!

Below each picture our totes with everyones names on them. It has been so great in keeping things organized in the living room.
You just through things into the individual tote that it belongs to.
Then I can put it all away when I get to it.

I made the above painting by printing out profile pictures of both Max and Easton. Then traced it onto vinyl, first, painting the canvas with a pearl white, then placing the vinyl cut outs of their profiles, then painting over it with two shades of blue, then you pull off the vinyl and TA-DA! a profile canvas I love!
Then I came up with the saying, "I am my brothers keeper."
They better be! I love the way it turned out.

Below is a sneak peak of the amazing bookshelves Shaun and I have been working on
I cannot even tell you how much I love it!
I told Shaun we might not be able to actually put anything on it, because I love it too much with the back splash we did with turquoise and then stenciled it with a damask stencil ! I just want to see the pretty back splash.

What a great peak huh?
I'll have to give more details in another post.
