We are loving Easton! Well......Shaun and I are loving Easton. Max has other feelings about little brother. He's been acting up quite a bit (driving mom crazy). He's having a hard time adjusting to his little brother taking a lot of attention and time away.
I'm sure they will be best buddies someday. :)
As you can see in the pictures, Easton is TINY! So weird after having our BIG guy Max.
The problem is, Easton is not gaining enough weight. I was concerned about it and took him to the Dr. Office for a weight check. When he was born he weighed 7'3, at his newborn check up, he was 6'7, then at almost 4 weeks he was only 6'13. :(
The Dr. said that his weight gain was not sufficient enough. We now have to give him formula after each breastfeeding. I hope my little guy will be okay. He really likes the formula and drinks about 2 oz after I breastfeed him! This makes me feel awful! I feel like he's been starving this whole time! I'm also worried that he likes the formula a lot more then breast milk.
I've started to breast pump for each meal to see how much comes out. I get about 1 and 1/2 oz to 2 oz at each pump. I've been pumping every 3 hours. I feed Easton the breast milk first and then give him formula. He takes a long time to eat the breast milk and then he guzzles down the formula. He even seems to spit up the breast milk a lot.
We'll see what happens. The stress of it all is really taking a toll on me and everyone in the house. I think I was so excited to actually be able to breastfeed Easton. (I was not able to with Max) I have to except whatever happens and do what's best for everyone in my family.
Once I made the choice to formula feed Max (after a lot of stress and tears) Things worked out fine.
I just want my LITTLE (Easton) buddy and my BIG (Max) buddy to be okay. I love my boys! I mean LOVE!!!! :)
