twilight madness

Is everyone taking crazy pills? Am I missing something? I feel like everyone has been invited to the party but me.
Here's my problem.........Are you ready for this..........I don't like the twilight series! Or just the first book because that's all I could stomach! I just don't get it! I love to read, I have always been a big reader. But I thought the book was poorly written and WAY to cheesy! I barely could suffer through the never ending talk about how gorgeous edward was...blah! blah! blah! I'm sorry to say, But I found so many things about the book that were............stupid!

Just look at the book cover. Don't you remember the story of Snow White that was also offered a nice red apple? We all know what happened to her!! Don't take it!!

I'm stuck in the "Twilight zone" do-do, do-do, do-do, do-do, HELP!!
My sister Angie is the only person I know who thinks the same way I do. Everyone else goes on and on about how great it is! AAAHHHHHH!!
I'm happy for those that love the books because you have plenty of people to talk with about it, But I'm stuck feeling lossed. I don't get it!!

I can't wait for this madness to end! There's still 3 more movies to go. I hope I can make it through all this with as little throw-up as possible!!

Here are some things I've been told because I don't like it:

1. Are you even a girl? (Great! Now what do I do? I don't want to be a boy!!)

2. You must have a great romantic relationship and you don't need romance (Ha, Ha, Ha, Ya right, Oh Puke!! I love my Shaun but he could always be better in the romance department, in fact, do guys really know what romance is?)

3. I'm just NOT a romantic (Which in truth, I really am. But this is not my idea of romance)

Tell me what you love so much about Twilight!! Please help!! I'll try to keep the barf bag close by, Just in case.

*****Warning, The views of this blog post are of the blogger only. Please do not take offense if you love Twilight. That's great if you do******

No, I can't tell you what I liked about Twilight because... I DIDN'T LIKE THE BOOKS EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!! I read the first and second one and tried to get through the third one, thinking I would start liking them because everyone else was, but NOPE! And honestly, I don't like telling people I didn't like the books because they attack you. So I just keep it all to myself for fear I might punch someone in the gut! So glad to hear someone else didn't like the gaggy books!

Haha...if you have seen my blog, you know I LOVE Twilight. I love the anticipation. There are little scenes in the book that I thought were SOO funny. Like in Twilight when Edward pulled his car out in front of Bella and then laughed as Tyler kept trying to ask her out...so funny!! In the 4th book Jacob throws a bowl at Rosalie (I am totally not setting it up at all, she does a lot better job at writing than I do)...it was SOOOOO funny. I love the romance...as cheesey as it might be, that is why I like it. I love the dynamics of the relationships (not just Edward and Bella).
Oh, I like the fact that the author is Mormon, although you really wouldn't be able to tell by reading the books...haha.

I totally agree!!! I had no interest what so ever to read the books or see the movie!

I will tell you what I like about Twilight. It reminds of feelings and emotions of high school. Feelings are obsessions. It's kind of fun to go back to that and laugh at how silly it is. Here is what I don't like about Twilight. It is cheesy and the writing is obnoxious. Each book is a step down from the previous one. I am embarrassed that I liked reading them. It's a very guilty pleasure. No brain power required. Perhaps the appeal for the moms. At least you don't have to worry about standing in any lines at the movies.

I didn't even finish the first book because I couldn't believe that is was being promoted by a church book club. I am a fanatical reader, I read all my books many times over, read all my children's books. No pull from Twilight whatsoever. Now that I am reading stuff about the books content, I won't be picking them up. Ever.

I didn't even read them but I did see the movie and I have to say that I'm shocked that these stories are being promoted to little tween aged girls. There were more 10 - 15 year olds at the movie than adults. What the heck? Did I miss something?
