In-vitro- part 2

Shaun's work recently added that they would pay $3000 towards the cost of In-vitro. Sweet! This has gotten Shaun and I really talking about In-vitro again. The good and bad thing is, We have embryo's frozen from our last In-vitro. Which is good. The bad is, The embryo's were not the best, The best ones got used in In-vitro part 1. I've also heard that they are not as good after being frozen. This is all something that Shaun and I will have to discuss with the doctor to get more information. I do know that Max was not supposed to be a great embryo. They only gave us a 15% chance to conceive. Whew...emotions always hit me when I think about that. The whole process of it all and the wonderful prize we got in the end. It was all worth it. I will never forget the feelings I had when we implanted the embryos into my uterus. Looking at the ultrasound screen and seeing these 2 bright little dots. One of those turned into my Max. :) Makes my heart swell with joy. I will never forget the feeling of warmth at that moment. The feeling and comfort of the spirit. I should have never doubted the outcome.
Shaun called the infertility center and talked to billing about what it would cost to do In-vitro this way. She said that it would be about $3000 dollars out of pocket after the $3000 the insurance would pay. Most of the out of pocket expense would go to de-thawing the embryos. That would cost about $1500 dollars. Insurance does not cover this. In-vitro usually runs about $10,000 dollars. $6000 is better then $10,000. Although the chances could be less. The process would be a lot simpler this time around without having to stimulate and harvest my eggs, resulting in my ovaries being over-stimulated and me ending up in the hospital.
I know the chances of conceiving will not be that great. This is something we will have to discuss, pray, and get more information about. I think if it doesn't work out it would be easier this time then last time because we've already had a success the first time around. My Max. Makes me smile every time I think about him.
The process has been started. I don't know when, what, or where just yet. I'm still thinking it all through. Which for me, could take awhile.
I do think it would be cool if it did work out with In-vitro part 2. That would mean that Max and hopefully are future blessing would have come from the same "batch" which means if they were born at the same time they would have been twins. Cool huh? It's fun to think about. It would be fun to tell them later in life about that. Not too soon. That would gross them out to find out what exactly the same "batch" is. (haha)

phrase of the week

The Mom-in-ater. This is when you decide to be really silly with your child. Running and jumping on the bed. Tickling your child who is on the bed and saying, "watch out for the Mom-in-ater!" Then steam rolling him (not squishing him completely. ;) Then enjoying the ever so loved giggles.
I've been turning into the Mom-in-ater quite a bit lately. It's super fun to chase Max saying, "Look out for the Mom-in-ater." It turns out that Max gets quite a kick out of the Mom-in-ater. Resulting in lots of giggles from Max AND me....aka.....Mom-in-ater. :)

The biggest loser

I came in third place in the biggest loser contest. Not bad, wish I could have done better. I kind of slacked off. At least it has gotten me started in the right direction. I did lose 14.8 pounds.
I'm still loving the gym. If I could only get Max to love it too. They always have to come and get me. The poor little guy. Hopefully, he will start to enjoy it. It dose feel good to be wanted. :) Max has had a cold so I've had to go whenever Shaun gets home from work. This makes it more difficult to make it to the gym everyday. I still try to go whenever I can. I'm always happier when I go.
I was thinking this might be a good time to join one of the fitness/aerobic classes. Because Max doesn't seem to last very long in the child watch. He can come and rescue me from my class. ;) Then I would have an excuse to leave instead of wimping out on my own. :) That might work out.

YMCA

I did it! I joined a gym. The YMCA right by my house. Today was my first day. I loved it! They have child watch for up to 2 hours a day. I got to work out while Max played. It felt so good. I don't know why I have not done this sooner.
They have an out door track. It felt good to walk outside while listening to music on my ipod. Then I decided I would hit the weight machines. They always seem so intimidating. I have no idea how to use them. The fear of looking like a total dufus had me a little hesitant.
I had nothing to be worried about. The machines were great. Very easy to handle and I just went from one to the next. Working every muscle in my body. oh yeah!
When I was done and went to get Max. He was screaming. When I checked on him earlier he was doing great. They said he just stared crying. I was glad to rescue him. I think he had a lot of fun. It was probably a little too long of a time for the first time going. It was also close to nap time.
It felt so good to work out and work on me. :) release stress and get endorphins. I'll see you tomorrow weight machines. You don't scare me anymore!
Now I have to try and master the aerobic/fitness classes. Not anytime soon. I think I would pass out the first 10 minutes of class.

Mr. Blue eyes

I love you!!

Crafty

I've been saving my baby formula cans. I've been wanting to decorate them and make some cute things with them. I had my craft girls over today and I finally decorated some of the cans.

before

Something for Valentines Day.
This I did with paper, stickers, and mod podge.

I went and got some cute fabric to make these cans for Max's room. I mod podged the fabric on and then put ribbon around the top and bottom.

Then I added some embellishments

I'm not sure I'm loving the embellishments.
I think they fit perfectly in Max's room.
I'm not sure what they will be storing yet. They just look cute.

Then I made one for Shaun to take to work. I mod podged fabric on to it. Then I put some clear photo holders on it. And put in some cute pictures of Shaun and Max.

I have a lot of fun making these. Their is so much you can do and make with them. I have more cans to decorate. It's fun being crafty.
